After nearly 20 years it was good to be back in this beautiful part of New Zealand! I remember it well and after revisiting the fast-growing region of Queenstown Lakes. It was good to see that Fiordland had clung onto their laid-back tranquillity and remained almost unchanged.

With all the extra things we need to think about when embarking on our travels, we can easily forget the basics. Car maintenance was certainly not top on our agenda and what a nightmare when something goes wrong!
