GizzyBus is our bus service in Gisborne City, it operates Monday to Friday 7.10am to 5.15pm. No weekend or public holiday service.
We have 2 buses operating and from the city centre in Bright Street to the outer suburbs on a 45 minute rotation. No service is provided for rural or coastal townships.
We have 133 stops along the length of the service, some stops have shelters. Each stop has a red and white bus stop sign on a pole. Some have yellow markings painted on the road. When waiting at a bus stop - please make yourself visable and signal the driver to stop.
GizzyBuses are wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Please let the driver know that you require assistance and an accessibility ramp will be lowered for you. There's pushchair and wheelchair space allocated on the bus.
The SuperGold card is available to all eligible New Zealanders aged 65 years or over and those who receive the New Zealand Superannuation or the Veterans Pension.
SuperGold Cards can only be used during off-peak times 9am-3pm Monday to Friday on any GizzyBus service. If you travel outside these hours you will need to pay the full fare.
Great access for young children traveling in pushchairs.
