Meadowood Country House is a newly restored Art Deco Guest House in a beautiful vineyard setting. The house has been given a sophisticated Gatsby make over with special screen printed wallpapers, and superb detailing. Only 10 minutes to the centre of Napier and Hastings it is mid-way between the twin cities so makes a great base to explore from. Adjacent to Hawkes Bay's wine and cycle trails. 

Built in the 1930s, Meadowood is a Deco style country house retreat, full of original fittings and furniture, with a little Hollywood Glam! 
There is a barbecue available for guest use, and views of the garden.

The accommodation has a seating and dining area. There is also a kitchen, fitted with a dishwasher, oven and microwave. A toaster and refrigerator are also available, as well as a coffee machine. Free private parking is also available at this country house. Towels are offered. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property.

The Peacock Room has accessible facilities - very ritzy! The doorways are 740mm wide, so may not be wide enough for some wheelchairs.

  • Our second time at Meadowood for a birthday getaway with friends.
    Meadowood is a cosy & comfortable art deco country home so tastefully decorated and with everything one needs for a weekend away with friends or family or it would be ideal for a wedding party. Emma & Colin are warm, friendly hosts who popped in and out to introduce themselves & check that everything was okay. With a 12noon check out we were able to enjoy a leisurely brunch with the generous supplies that Emma & Colin had left us. A bottle of bubbles was also a nice gesture. We all highly recommend a stay at Meadowood.

  • Living Art Deco
    The entire house was enchantingly restored to art deco decore, with only a few more modern exceptions in the kitchen and bathroom. The exterior and grounds were neatly maintained. The owner was welcoming and helpful, and provided ample food for making a full breakfast.
