This is a very spacious unit so therefore very popular. The unit has the capacity to take four guests BUT for one night only there can be a futon-style provided plus linen for that one extra.

Located in the heart of the Hokianga on the edge of the harbour overlooking the giant sand dunes of the Hokianga. Quiet and comfortable rooms. Qualmark rated 3star plus. The beach is just across the road. parking outside your own room. Come and kick back under the palms and watch dolphins playing in the waves. Opononi Lighthouse Motel has twelve units available for accommodation. All our units are self contained with queen and single beds. The one and two bedroom units have kitchen and dining facilities. Other features include onsite BBQ and private spa pool. Beachfront accommodation in a quiet seaside village. We are on the Twin Coast Discovery Highway at opononi, 85 kms north of Dargaville. A great place to stay, relax and unwind.

    The Bookit service was very convenient especially as accom. was scarce at the time. The Lighthouse Motel was comfortable,clean and well appointed with table and cookware. The sheets were outstanding. I believe starched and ironed - an absolute joy for someone crazy about freshly laundered sheets. The spa was disappointing and needed a revamp and also to be topped up.
