Kerikeri Motel accommodation Bay of Islands. Self catering cottages. Not your usual Kerikeri Motel Accommodation or Hotel Accommodation. Wharepuke Subtropical Accommodation are family run eco cottages in Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, Northland, New Zealand.

Wharepuke translates as “house on the hill”.
One chalet has been adapted for accessibility with a wooden ramp with a non-slip surface. The ramp has a reasonable gradient and handrails. The other four chalets offer some degrees of accessibility, with spacious accommodation and wet-floor showers, however they do not have any support rails by the toilet and/or shower.
The garden access is loose gravel, with varying degrees of gradient.
There is a seven minutes walk to historic Stone Store basin or drive 1km to thriving Kerikeri village with cafes, restaurants, arts/crafts and boutique shops galore.
If you want to eat close to home visit ‘Food at Wharepuke’, a fully licensed Cafe and Restaurant offering Thai inspired and Modern European Cuisine and Judged ‘Northland Cafe of the Year 2011’ and winner of ‘Innovative Chef of the Year 2012’ award. The café is accessible and has accessible toilet facilities.
